Caucasus-Russian Cultural Interaction: Statics, Dynamics, Synthesis
The article is devoted to the role of socio-cultural heritage of the peoples of the Caucasus in cooperation with the Russian for the development of inter-ethnic relations and the strengthening of Russian identity.
Throughout the history of the Caucasus, experiencing a devastating sozidetalnye: wars, migration and transformation. On the basis of the fundamental values and traditions of the peoples of the Caucasus occurs mutual cultures and their synthesis. Caucasus-Russian relations have historically varied, contradictory, syncretic, but the vector is directed to the union of peoples and cultures within Russia. This vector is expressed by the author in the concept of “Caucasus in Russia and Russia in the Caucasus.”
Most of the peoples of the Caucasus – autochthonous, but they are united in the South and the North Caucasus Russian language and culture. Many of the great figures of Russian culture and science are inseparable from the Caucasus and the Caucasus of the 19th beginning of the 20th centuries, formed and are part of the Russian science and culture.
Caucasus, Russia under pressure of their peoples alien meanings and values of the West and the East. Obstacle to the destructive trends is the deepening of the Russian-Caucasian civilization and cultural synthesis.
