DOI 10.18522/2072-0181-2015-178-183
Purpose. Cancer incidence among children in recent years requires special attention due to its steady growth. The specificity of the disease requires the development of specific approaches to this pathology. The incidence of the population affected, as a temporary disability, birth, disability, and mortality, makes demographic and economic losses. Special attention needs specialist cancer incidence due to its steady growth. Half the 20 million cases of malignancies recorded in developed countries. After cardiovascular diseases oncopathology takes second place in the structure of mortality.
Methods. We studied scientific works for the period 2005–2015 years that refl ect different aspects of care for children with cancer. Results: It has been found that in addition to the growth of investments in the prevention and treatment of cancer in general and a child in particular, is required and the overall strengthening of the health system due to sustained growth of the primary care therapeutic. Another condition for the effective organization of cancer care is the presence of malignant disease registers. It is important also to ensure access to quality health care. This means timely quality care that meets the needs, which gives the best possible health outcomes, provided that personal consumer spending on health services should not be an undue burden for a family or personal budget, and the more cause of refusing treatment.Among the reasons for poor access to quality health care, seeing an increase in the volume of paid services, underfunding of public health; inequalities in access to quality health care for vulnerable populations, transport inaccessibility of health care for the rural population, the shortage of nursing staff, which leads to the implementation of the nursing work of physicians; the high cost of medicines for the poor.
Accordingly, measures to increase the availability of quality medical care and satisfaction with medical services provided may include:– Approaching the population live compactly medical and pharmacy infrastructure;– Improving literacy in health,– The organization of departments of nursing and hospices,– Increasing the number and availability of rehabilitation centers,– An effective, non-formal medical examinations and clinical examination,– Identifi cation of vulnerable groups and the organization of targeted support
Conclusions. The authors believe that the above circumstances make it necessary accounting epidemiological, medical and social, ethical and deontological, clinical and psychological characteristics of medical care for children with cancer in developing the strategy of public health at the regional level.
