The Health Status of Young Men of Military Age

Purpose: To ensure the future production potential of Russia, health and prosperity of the Russian Federation is very important to solve the problem of adolescent health of military age.
Methods: We had conducted a review of studies on the health of persons of military and pre-conscription age.
Results: We have found that according to various estimates suitability for service in the Armed Forces of Russia in recent years is 50–70 %.We determined that in general, the overall incidence of teenage RF aged 15–17 years from 2000 to 2011 increased by 478 %. There is a significant growth in its following classes of disease: tumors – 37.3 %, diseases of the circulatory system – 26.1 %, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, blood diseases, and diseases of the nervous system – by 23–24.
Negative dynamics of adolescent health is observed not only in the Russian Federation as a whole, but it is uneven in different regions. The same trends are observed in other regions of Russia, where the total incidence rate for the period increased by 38.2 %.
Conclusions: We made conclusions that in order to improve the health of people of draft age requires the implementation of a whole range of medical and social, legal and institutional measures.
