The Problem of State-Political Order of the Prereform Kabarda in E.D. Naloeva’s Works

The article analyses the problem of studying of the issue of state-political order of the prereform Kabarda. Since the pre-revolutionary historiography in general didn’t set a task of scientifi c studying of the political system of kabardians, and the works generally had descriptive character, as the object of research of the article is chosen the Soviet historiography of the question. The subject of the research is, in fact, E.D. Naloyeva’s vision of the question. The choice is due, on the one hand, the fact that E.D. Naloeva was a supporter of the theoretical and methodological approach of the Soviet Caucasiology, embodying of historiographic tradition of studying of political system of traditional Kabardian society through a prism of the feudalism concept and the theory of the class state. On the other hand, draws attention innovative and turning nature of the E.D. Naloyeva’s work. She raised the question about the state as a particular system of institutions, and not just a territorial and political unity. Accordingly, for the fi rst time was carried out consecutive шand “multi-level” analysis of the entire system of power institutions, that regulated life activity of the Kabardian society.
Generally speaking by her were laid foundations of a research of the structural and functional features of the power system of traditional Kabardian society, expanding today opportunities essentially-stadial identifi cation the management
structure and detection of the forms institutionalization of power in Kabardia during 16th–18th centuries.
