The Specialty of Urban Segregation in Contemporary Paris
The subject of this article is to analyze the specialty of cosmopolitan contemporary megalopolis by the case of Paris 2012–2014. The object of the article is the immigrants compact area. The aim of this work is to outline the trends
concerning the urban specialty of the ethnoreligious fragmentation of population. This goal is to be reached by means of the following: the overview of segregate territories, the analysis of the way of the destruction of the institute of traditional
integration through secular education in state school and transfer to religious educational system. It is necessary to mark that the main resource in this case is the result of author’s field work in Paris at the signed chronological period. The
immersion into society, noticing and communication with respondents of the immigrants compact districts bring to light some details about the daily life which are reflecting at the whole Paris.
In recent years the urban segregation became the mark of contemporary Paris. Well-developed infrastructure of segregated areas is isolating immigrants from the whole Paris. The isolation is blocking the using of social institutes of adaptation fixed by the government. In the end the mechanism of integration doesn’t work and the social distance ofFrench public grows.
Under the conditions the fragmentation of citizens according to ethnic and segregate marks are increasing by refugee stream from Middle East to Europe, last Paris attacks and the absence of actual plan for adaptation.
