Ornamental Macrofi eld “Life” in B. Polanskiy’s Novel “Domoy s Nebes”

The article proves the necessity to apply the concept of ornamental field in order to analyze nonclassic type of narration. The ornamental prose has become a phenomenon of the twentieth century, in particular of the epoch of modernism, as it has included the features of both poetry and prose and, consequently, has obtained the number of characteristic peculiarities (for example, iconicity, polyphony, symbolism, etc.), common to this type of narration only.
As a result, the special terminology appeared in linguistics that allows to study and comprehend the text to a high accuracy. Thus, emphasizing ornamental fields in the unique example of ornamental prose – B. Poplavskiy’s novel “Domoy s nebes” – gives the possibility to gain a deeper insight into the novel’s gist and to trace the spiritual transformations of the main hero while perceiving God’s Truth. The ornamental fi elds “dream”, “heat”, “music” the macrofi eld “life” consists of reflect the religious and philosophical conception of the novel the main idea of which is a human’s choice between the righteous or sinful existence. Moreover, lexical elements and binary oppositions that form the fields and rows let us understand the accuracy or falseness of the main hero’s actions, as well as follow his spiritual development.
