Prospects of Intellectual History in the Framework of the New Directions of Historiography

Purpose: In this article, we set a goal to analyze the perspectives and new research paradigm of intellectual history at the present stage. The article investigates the intellectual history of the modern prospects and contextual turn end twentieth century when historians who studied the history of ideas, focused on high theories and doctrines, ignoring the social context, and role of the individual man in history, and if they turned to the biographies of scientists, only for the great one and only in the interests of the genesis of their ideas.
Methods: we learned a modern view to the history of ideas and intellectual’s biography as the creators of a special intellectual space within its temporal context. Especially we select a contextual approach, interdisciplinary and goal-setting.
Discussion: We affi rm that the creative process historians should refrain from creating a comprehensive sociocultural models and far-reaching conclusions. Also we raised the question of the classifi cation of the historical subdisciplines.
Results: Thus, we conclude that the next step in the development of intellectual history should be the practice of constructing entire intellectual contexts of small spaces under the direction of a “New local history”.
