About the Ideal of Scientifi c Explanation in Social Cognition
The article reveals the content of the concept of the ideal of scientific explanation in social cognition taking into account the specifics of social reality. Formulated methodological requirements, the regulations pertaining to each type of explanation – the structural, functional, structural – functional, causal, genetic, evolutionary, aimed at deepening, improving each of them. Emphasizes the necessity of combining different kinds of explanations to obtain a relatively
complete multi-level ideas about the nature of social objects. The article substantiates the idea that the ideal of the perfect explanation requires combining different types of explanations to obtain a holistic view of the essence of the object, as well as for the enrichment, development of theoretical knowledge in each social science.
