Conceptual questions of restoration and feature of architecture of vorotny knot of the second line of defense of Anakopiya, the capital of the rannesredneveky Abkhazian kingdom are taken up. Opinions of researcher’s about origin of a tower, her dating and architecture are considered. The analysis of geometry of a tower on the basis of data of 3D laser scanning is carried out. On character of the arches the Gate round tower is unique, the new term for this purpose like the arch – "the abazg arch" is defined. By research it is defined that the tower is constructed not on a sample, and by the individual order. Analogs of a tower and its construction
receptions in the former territory of the Byzantine Empire – in Turkey, Greece, Armenia are revealed. Two construction periods of a tower and their datings very good has considered – from 6th to the 10th centuries. On the basis of results of digital researches features of architecture of a monument during the different periods, structures and details of the arches are authentically restored,
that has allowed to disprove a number of earlier expressed opinions of researchers.
