Institutional Environment of Russian Émigrés in the Interwar Period: Quantitative Research in the History of Philosophy

(Southern Federal University)

The article analyzes the problem of studying the institutional philosophical environment of Russian Émigrés in Paris in the interwar period. With the emergence of new opportunities for quantitative analysis of philosophical texts in digitized databases, it becomes necessary to rethink the question of the importance of the institutional approach in the history of philosophy. The historical-philosophical process, which is the immanent development of philosophical ideas, demonstrates the inability to explain the transformations in history. A quantitative analysis of references to philosophers in documents of various types (philosophical
periodicals, newspaper chronicles, etc.) in this article represents an attempt to supplement the existing historical and philosophical studies of the young generation of Russian Émigrés with new tools for considering the institutional positions of philosophers.
