Cultural Interaction: the Theoretical Foundation of Analysis

The article is devoted to the problem of cultural interactions, the identification of its philosophical and cultural foundations. The author's vision of the problem is based on the activity approach in the understanding of culture, the consideration of culture as a way of adaptation of human society to nature and the surrounding society. This refers to both external interactions – with other peoples, and internal – regulatory structure and social relations, customs and traditions. According to the author, the opportunities and vector of external interactions are determined by the internal foundations of culture, its features and traditions. The article takes into account the current trends of mass cultural interactions and, accordingly, the issue of cultural communications.
