Specificity of the Concept of Religious Experience in Works of Russian Philosophers of the Late 19th – Early 20th Century

This article is devoted to investigation of phenomena of religious and mystical experience that were carried out in the Russian religious philosophy. The author draws attention to the methodological difficulties of the study of religious experience, in particular, challenge of the conceptual comprehension and verbalization of religious and mystical states of consciousness. The article
examines views of P.A. Florensky, S.N. Bulgakov, S.L. Frank, N. A. Berdyaev to religious experience and states an antinomy is the main characteristic of it. The author based on analysis of the works of these philosophers attempts to define main pairs of religious experience antinomies.
