Yuri Zhdanov is a Citizen of the Universe and a Patriot of the Caucasus

(Kabardino-Balkarian State University)

The article is devoted to the scientific, creative, philosophical, cultural and organizational activities of one of the most prominent builders of the Soviet system of science and university education, which ensured the access of man to space for the first time in history, Yuri Zhdanov.
The fate and creativity of this man is primarily struck by paradoxical zigzags, ups and downs, from which most people lose themselves, give up, and even commit suicide.
Yuri Zhdanov fell into the inner circle of Stalin at the end of the 30s of the twentieth century, when those close to Stalin were the victims of political repression in the first place. Yuri Zhdanov, being a member of the family of one of the most senior leaders of the Soviet Union, finds himself in the Leningrad blockade and suffers all the hardships of this blockade. Having received the position of political and strategic curator of all Soviet academic science, Zhdanov comes into open conflict with Stalin's favorite, Academician Lysenko. So Zhdanov is trying to defend and defend genetics, banned in the USSR for ideological reasons.
After the death of Stalin, he becomes a victim of revenge, addressed specifically to the dead Stalin – he is actually referred to the outskirts of the country.
But Zhdanov does not give up, he again begins his life's journey. In a short time, he will rise from a modest teaching position to the status of rector of a state university in Rostov-on-Don. Moreover, he puts forward and implements an original and large-scale project for the integration of university education and academic science, thus breaking the conservative framework of the Soviet bureaucratic system.
And finally, Yuri Zhdanov, who studied and received a first-rate education as a chemist, worked in the dogmatic framework of Marxist philosophy, in post-Soviet Russia he became one of the most active founders of the cultivators of cultural science in modern Russia. But the biggest "Zhdanovsky paradox" is that it is unusually deeply accustomed to the study of Caucasian cultures, which leads to two outstanding results: Caucasian studies gain a modern level of scientific methodology, and also there is evidence that non-ancient mythology influenced Caucasian cultures, on the contrary, Caucasian cultures influenced ancient Greek mythology.
science, education, philosophy, Caucasian studies, creative organizer, symbol of the tragedy of Russian history of the 20th century
