The Constitution of another Consciousness in Buddhism and Phenomenology
An explication and comparative analysis of the problem of another consciousness will be given, as is presented in Buddhism and phenomenology. First and foremost, the “Ideas for Pure Phenomenology” by Edmund Husserl and the “Justification of Alien Animation” by the Buddhist philosopher Dharmakirti will be presented as the main sources on both sides.
Importantly, there are practically no scientific publications examining the text of Dharmakirti, except for the preface of the translator, therefore the relevance of this work is justified primarily by the desire to give an idea and introduce this source of importance for oriental thought into scientific circulation, presenting it in the light of Western philosophy with its elaborated categories for more immersion in the text.
