Transmission and Modification of Cultural Codes in the Context of Social Technologies: Paradoxes of Psychological Methods of Forming Subjectivity

Changes in a person, society and technology are interconnected with changes in social technologies. Cultural codes systems are transmitted and modified in them. The initial assumptions that a change in culture occurs due to social technologies are considered. This change, and not the expansion of the production of technology becomes the midpoint and issue for European civilization. The task, which is formulated within the framework of social technologies, consists in the formation of person’s subjectivity. Decisions of the subject are connected with the conscious change of one’s culture, axiology, code systems and practices of their use. It can be stated that the issues and consequences of the expansion of means for changing the production of culture, increasing the efficiency of social technologies are not yet precisely evaluated or systematized. These results are already presented as paradoxes. These paradoxes are presented as the content of consciousness and practice of the subject that receives ample opportunities to change one’s own cultural foundations. These paradoxes are available for description in the context of social technologies and their changes. This description is carried out at the level of those real practices in which psychological means are used to form the consciousness of another person, these means lead to a change in the minds of technologists. Paradoxes represent equal opportunity for evaluating the advantages and limitations of the extension of methods that the subject applies and controls the culture, transforms the code system. This evaluation, despite the paradox, is crucial. Evaluation leads to decisions that are made in social practices of formation of subjectivity.
Research tasks: find out the paradoxical possibilities and consequences of social technologies for the formation of a person’s subjectivity; clarify the connection between evaluations of cultural changes and the use of means to form the consciousness of the subject; find out the connection between the use of paradoxes in the practice of the formation of subject and the change in the criteria for evaluating the consequences. The article does not offer the evaluations of cultural change or the transformation of cultural codes. The article describes the paradoxes that are used in the production of the subject.
