Nazi Crimes Towards Children and Adolescents on the Occupied Territories of the Rostov Region
Among the armed conflicts of the twentieth century, the Second world war was the most sanguinary. It caused millions deaths of civilians on the occupied territories. Widely implemented Nazi extermination program based on provisions of the superiority of some peoples over others facilitated it. Moreover hundreds of thousands from Soviet territories worked in agriculture and industry of Germany as disenfranchised workers.
This article is devoted to Nazi crimes towards children and adolescents of the Rostov region during its occupation. The goal of this study was to discover the facts of Nazi crimes and to prove the total inhumanity of Nazism. The identification of the types of punishments and executions applied to minors, as well as the establishment of mo-tives for illegal actions were the tasks of the work.
The analysis of German crimes against minors during the Great Patriotic war in the occupied territories of the Rostov region leads to the conclusion of extreme cruelty punishments and murders, based on the uselessness of the youngest category of population for Germany economy and the desire to demonstrate the futility of resistance. The facts of cruelty to children were bound to inspire horror to subdue the inhabitants of the conquered lands in the shortest possible time. In addition, children were used as a labor resource, and there was no age differentiation for disciplinary offenses.
