Idiostilistic Marking of M.A. Sholokhov's Artistic Prose in the Aspect of Phraseology

Purpose: In this study we consider the specifics of the concentrated use of phraseological units (PhU) as an idiostilistic marker of the individual author's system of language by M. A. Sholokhov, which will allow us to justify the stylistic significance of this technique in the overall structure of the literary text. The tasks of the work are as follows: to analyze the texts of the writer's works, to identify their language features (idiostilistic markers) in the aspect of phraseology, the specifics of the writer's selection of language units, their compatibility and actualization in the context.
Methods: We examine cases of atypical compatibility of phraseological units (PhU), the concentration of PhU (blocks of usual PhU and blocks of occasionally transformed PhU) using a method of linguistic analysis, synthesis and modeling.
Results: Active use of phraseological units, their concentration in the text and author's transformations of usual PhU allow
to solve the creative strategic task set for the writer, becoming idiomarkers of M.A. Sholokhov’s style.
Discussion: At present the research of the linguistic originality of the artistic heritage of an author is interesting both to specialists in the field of philology and to a wide range of literature lovers, which determines the intensive development of this field of science. Focusing on the establishment of the basic principles of text generation and the aesthetic conditionality of the nonstandard organization of phraseological units in it, this research makes a great contribution to the study of the individual author's language system of M. A. Sholokhov.
