Kalmyk State University – 50 Years in the Scientific and Educational Space of Russia
The article of the rector of Kalmyk State University is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the university. The difficult path of
the formation and development of the university for the Kalmyk people - from the provincial institute to one of the main universities
of Russia is shown. During 50 years of its existence the Kalmyk State University has strengthened its logistical base, created modern
scientific and innovative potential, brought up a galaxy of well-known scientists at home and abroad, formed original scientific
schools, became a center of international and interregional research.
