Peoples of the North Caucasus and Eastern Georgia in the Geopolitical Projects of Peter the Great
The article analyzes Peter the Great's geopolitical projects in the context of Russia's relations with the peoples of the North Caucasus and the Georgian kingdoms. The author concludes that the transformation of the system of interaction between the Russian state and regional political actors later became one of the conditions for the beginning of the Caucasian War.
