Legal Forms of Combating Corruption at Various Stages of the Development of the Russian State: Historical Analysis

Сorruption has different manifestations, so it is necessary to distinguish them from each other. This will help to formulate more clearly what specific manifestation affects economic security. The study of the phenomenon of corruption is impossible without understanding that it has a specific historical character. Consideration of specific historical conditions will allow us to more
accurately characterize the corresponding phenomenon. The purpose of the article is to consider the historical aspects of combating corruption in the Russian state, including its individual regions (the Republic of Kalmykia). At the same time, the emphasis is placed on the characterization of corruption as a threat to the economic security of the state, including certain regions (the Republic of Kalmykia) at certain stages of its development. The conclusions related to the historical analysis of the relevant aspect of corruption are supposed to be used at the present stage to counteract corruption as a threat to the economic security of the Russian state.
The paper uses the method of historical analysis of relations that arose at various historical stages in the field of combating corruption and official crimes. We also used the method of analysis of normative legal acts, which allowed us to consider their shortcomings and make certain suggestions for their improvement. The study of the relevant problems allowed us to draw conclusions that can be used by modern legislators and law enforcement agencies in the development of measures to combat corruption as a threat to economic security.
