Time and its structure in K.-F. von Weizsäcker’s philosophy
The article is devoted to the problem of time in the works of K.F. von Weizsäcker. This work is of particular relevance, because in recent years, physical experiments showed radically change our understanding of time, which is directly related to the
works of Weizsäcker. He connects time directly to the quantum theory. Quantum mechanics, as he shows, is the most fundamental theory on the basis of which the entire construction of modern physics can be built. The quantum mechanics is associated with the structure of time, when you can drastically differentiate between the past and the future, as well as a special moment of the present
time. If the past associates with the factual, the actualized, then the future is related to openness, and, accordingly, to possibility and probability. In this case, the concept of possibility leads to the concept of a binary alternative, which is the basis of the quantum theory. Based on these ideas, he shows how a program for the construction of physics, primarily the theory of relativity, can be developed. At the same time, space-time is of a relational nature. His work is based on a deep philosophical analysis of the fundamental physics.
