Etnospecific Representation of Concepts фIы (Good) / Iей (Evil) in the Linguistic Consciousness of Modern Kabardians
This article which is devoted to the concepts фIы (good) and Iей (evil) in the linguistic consciousness of Kabardians through the prism of the set of responses to the stimulus words obtained as a result of an associative experiment, was conducted for the first time. Within the framework of our experiment the features of associative fi elds фIы (good) and Iей (evil) in the language consciousness of modern Kabardians were revealed. The stimulus words represent actions which cause benefi t or harm to others, positive or negative moral qualities, emotional and physical conditions, perceptive actions of a person etc. The analysis structure and description of the empirical data is extremely important in a scientifi c world as they help to obtain knowledge about the ethnospecific representation of concepts “good” and “evil” among modern Kabardians, reveal the essence of the associative meaning of words “good” and “evil” as a component of the content structure of the lexeme. They also determine the role of the cultural component of the semantic meaning of the lexemes “good” and “evil”.
