The article is devoted to the heroism of the highlanders of Kabardino-Balkaria, shown by them during their participation in the partisan movement on the territory of Belarus. The feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War was and remains in the center of attention of all progressive strata of society.

The theoretical basis of the research consists of various monographs, documents of the Center for Documentation of the Recent History of the KBR, as well as materials of the periodical press.
During the occupation, 1,255 partisan detachments were formed and conducted combat operations on the territory of Belarus. In total, there were 374 thousand fi ghters in the partisan detachments. Among them there were many representatives of Kabardino-Balkaria, who, as well as representatives of other republics of the multinational Soviet state, played an active and important role in the partisan movement of the republic, thereby contributing to the liberation of its territory from the Nazi- invaders.
