The article is devoted to the study of the architectural features of the medieval temple in Musser (Abkhazia), its architectural comparison with other three-church basilicas during the construction of the temple, in relation to the results of the analysis

The article is devoted to the study of the architectural features of the medieval temple in Musser (Abkhazia), its architectural comparison with other three-church basilicas during the construction of the temple, in relation to the results of the analysis of the mortar of this temple based on the X-ray phase method. The conclusions of comparative architectural analysis made by the authors of the article were supported by the results of X-ray phase analysis of calcareous solutions of different parts of the temple, indicating three construction periods and repairs. The first construction period – VIth century – includes the main facade, the outer wall of the northern gallery and the extension on the north side. By the second period – 7th century – the altar, the inner longitudinal walls of the temple, the southern gallery. By the third period – the 10th century – the wall of the choirs and the vault under them.
