Informal Legal Vocabulary in Modern English: Structural and Semantic Features

The article examines the structural and semantic features of English informal legal vocabulary. The authors analyze the most productive ways of word formation and regular derivational models. Informal legal vocabulary is considered as a set of
stylistically reduced words and expressions that exist exclusively in the colloquial legal speech. The motivational-semantic nature of stylistically marked words is investigated and productive transformational models are distinguished.
