General Theoretical Understanding of the Nature of the Disease in the Scientific Heritage of A.A. Lozinsky
The article is devoted to the analysis of the scientific heritage of A.A. Lozinsky, a Russian and Soviet scientist, the founder of balneology, first of all, his doctoral dissertation “To the history of some of the most important medical systems of the XVIII and XIX centuries”, which was defended at the beginning of the XX century, but still relevant for medicine and especially for the history of medicine. A.A. Lozinsky notes the breadth of the researcher's scientific interests, the thoroughness of the study of the theme, the scientific ethics in the analysis of the medical systems of G.E. von Stahl, John Brown, Samuel Hahnemann and Francois Brousset.
As an absolute merit of A.A. Lozinsky pointed out the preservation of the heritage of European scientists for the history of medicine, demonstrating the way of development of medicine and the need for a philosophical analysis of medical problems, especially understanding the causes of the disease and treatment in the interests of the patient.
