Aftereffects of the Nazi Occupation on Cultural and Educational Institutions of the Rostov Region

The article examines the research and generalization of the source base for the study of the destruction of the Soviet educational system, the looting and purposeful destruction of scientific and cultural values on the territory of the Rostov region by the
German occupation authorities during the occupation of 1941–1943. The research is based on the documents published and not yet introduced into scientific use by the State Archive of the Rostov Region and the Center for Documentation of the Modern History of the Rostov Region, studies of Soviet and Russian historians and local history experts, as well as on documents published in Russian scientific publications that were relatively recently discovered in the Central State Archive of the supreme authorities and administration of Ukraine.
