Historical Parmenides and Parmenides of Plato: a Common Ground

The article is devoted to the analysis of Plato’s attitude to the philosophical teaching of Parmenides. After presenting a possible interpretation of the fragment of Parmenides poem, article deals with the Plato’s criticism of his teaching, which is presented in Plato’s dialogues “Sophist” and “Parmenides”. In “Parmenides”, we face with the problem of the “two” Parmenides: first is the historical one, second – deduced by Plato as a teacher of Socrates, who usually express Plato’s teaching. The question is: to what extent historical Parmenides is represented in «Parmenides» of Plato? Author presuppose to follow the «ontological» way of understanding of “dialectics” of the dialogue in order to answer it.
