The neologization of language is a lexical process signifi cant for the Russian linguistics. Currently, with the strengthening of Russian-Chinese relations, the frequency of the use of Chinese borrowings, many of which are neologisms, has increased in the Russian language. Neologisms of Chinese origin are most often used in the texts of Russian blogs, online media and online versions of print media. Consequently, based on the material of such media texts, it is possible to trace the most current trends in the borrowing of Chinese vocabulary and the creation of Russian-language neologisms based on it. The process of neologization of the Russian language by using the vocabulary of Chinese origin is presented in the thematic groups "food", "society" and "politics".
Borrowings of these groups describe concepts peculiar to modern Chinese culture, which are becoming relevant for the culture of Russia. Moreover, social media plays a key role in the process of borrowing and, most likely, will remain one of the main ways to replenish the vocabulary of the Russian language due to neologisms of Chinese origin.
