(Kabardian-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences)

The socio-political vocabulary of the Kabardino-Circassian language has a short history. The problems of this group of words were first considered in the 50s of the last century. Only 40 years after that, the formation of the theoretical base of socio-political vocabulary began in the language. The publication of a special monographic work marks a new stage in the study of the sociopolitical vocabulary of the Kabardino-Circassian language. The main purpose of this work is to study issues related to the study of the socio-political vocabulary of the Kabardino-Circassian language. To achieve this goal, theoretical material on this problem was studied and practical material (dictionaries, mass media) was analyzed. It is established that the central issue in the study of this topic is the interpretation of the concept of "socio-political vocabulary" and the defi nition of its composition. As part of the socio-political
vocabulary of the Kabardino-Circassian language, we identify six thematic groups that determine the policy of the state. It is noted that the socio-political vocabulary is always in a mobile state. The modern world is characterized by a sharp aggravation of international relations, therefore new words and expressions appear in the vocabulary: sanction, escalation, special operation, denazifi cation, demilitarization, etc. It is concluded that the socio-political vocabulary of the Kabardino-Circassian language needs further study. To systematize and unify socio-political words, it is necessary to create a modern dictionary of socio-political vocabulary.
