Punitive Organs of Hitler's Germany in the Case Materials of the “Young Guard”

In the article, from the standpoint of the history of the domestic state and law and on the basis of specifi c materials of criminal proceedings, the organization and activities of Hitler's punitive bodies in the occupied territory of the USSR are revealed.
The criminal acts of the direct participants in the massacre of the “Young Guards”, which were confi rmed in criminal cases initiated by state security agencies during the Great Patriotic War and in the fi rst post-war years, are shown. Specifi c examples are used to highlight the activities of the People's Commissariat for Internal Aff airs and the Ministry of State Security of the USSR to establish and investigate the atrocities of the German fascist invaders and their accomplices in the occupied territory of the Soviet Union.
The author shows the organizational and legal basis for punishing the perpetrators of the massacre of members of the underground organization “Young Guard” from among Soviet and foreign citizens. The article analyzes the activities of the Soviet competent
authorities to review criminal cases against Nazi war criminals and their accomplices from among Soviet citizens, as well as their results in relation to the research topic.
