National and Cultural Images of the World Through the Prism of the Concept “Liver”

The article aims to identify and describe through the prism of the concept "liver" the images of the world and metaphorical representations that make up a certain fragment of the content of the language picture of the Russian, Arabic, Kyrgyz and Dungan languages. Based on the material from the compared languages, a description is given of the national and cultural content of the specifi cs of the concept “liver”, its fi gurative components in languages that diff er signifi cantly both in their typological structure and in the cultures they represent. The method of explanatory modeling reveals the causal relationships of the concept with the historical and cultural environment of ethnic groups, the features of the interpretation and axiology of this concept, which determine the choice of language means, the speech behavior of speakers of different languages in various situations of communication.
