Reflecting on the monograph by Klyosov A.A., Glashev A.A. “Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans: origin, heritage, DNA”, the author evaluates it as an attempt to resolve the fundamental contradictions that exist in the historiography of the ancient and medieval history of Russia and the Eurasian steppes.
The new research method «DNA geneology» proposed by the authors of the book largely changes the traditional ideas about the origin of the Alanians and their heirs.
