Expression of Negative Emotions by Stable Combinations with the Token gu (heart) in the Novel by M. Karmokov "And Poplars are Still Growing"

The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the use of the lexeme gu (heart) when expressing negative emotions in the novel by M. Karmokov "And poplars are growing." The article analyzes stable phrases with the investigated lexeme, which
show the wealth of the Kabardino-Circassian literary language. The study revealed stable phrases with the concept of gu (heart) in the analyzed novel, conveying the negative emotions of the heroes; lexical units are organized by group (sadness, anxiety, anger, etc.). The focus is on analyzing persistent combinations that express negative emotions. The scientifi c novelty of the study is that the work displays the main ways of expressing negative emotions in the Kabardino-Circassian language using stable expressions with the gu lexeme and shows the skill of M. Karmokov as a writer who was able to describe the feelings and emotions of the heroes with amazing accuracy. It was concluded that negative emotive units with the lexeme gu (heart) in the author's text in the Kabardino-Circassian language create an artistic image of the character. These robust linguistic units reflect the ethnocultural
specifi city of the language as a whole. The results obtained testify to the richness of the writer's language, to his ability to express negativity more loyally, in a non-rubby form.
