Axiology of Labor in Kalmyk Linguoculture

The article is devoted to the universal parametric concept «kөdlmsh» (labor). Material: data from lexicographic sources of the Kalmyk language, the Oirat language of Xinjiang, the Etymological Dictionary of Mongolian languages. The analysis showed that the core of the concept includes the tokens kөdlmsh, kөdl, aҗl, kuch-kөlsn; their derivatives and stable phrases formed with their participation form the near periphery of the concept; texts of Kalmyk literature associated with the idea of work constitute its far periphery. The long-term comprehension of the concept by the Kalmyk language consciousness is evidenced by the presence of:
a) detailed designations of meanings associated with the idea of labor, b) among the actualizers of units from the basic vocabulary, c) lexemes that do not have a high frequency of use in modern speech practice, d) detailed recommendations of behavior regarding labor.
