Main Areas of Activity of Temporary Branches of Nalchik Mountain Verbal Vessels in the Second Half of 80s of XIX Century

Annotation. The article is devoted to the main activities of the temporary branch of the Nalchik Mountain Court of Words in the second half of the 80s. XIX century. Based on the analysis of archival documents, the date of formation of the temporary branch of the verbal court in the settlement of Nalchik was clarified, the reasons for its separation into an independent structure are considered, the main variations of its name are given, the staff structure and personnel are described, the range of issues to be resolved is outlined, the peculiarities of documenting its activities were studied, a list of institutions with which the department interacted within
its competence was established. Attention is paid to the fact that the temporary branch of the court as an independent subject began to function in August 1884. To characterize the documentary support of its activities, such groups of documents as: complaints and petitions of the local population, court orders, materials of decisions of intermediary courts, etc. It was concluded that in the second half of the 80s. XIX century the newly formed temporary branch of the court took a prominent place in the judicial system of the Nalchik district and played the role of the highest instance in the district in relation to representatives of the Balkarian population
