Intergenerational Relations in the History of Culture and Socio-Humanitarian Knowledge
The purpose of this study is to study the mechanisms of formation of intergenerational relations in modern society, taking into account historical, socio-humanitarian and cultural contexts. The article examines the key points of the formation of the problem of intergenerational relations in the context of socio-cultural evolution, analyzes the impact of historical events, social and cultural transformations on the dynamics of relationships between generations. The results of the analysis show that in the modern consciousness, generational relations are almost identical to confl ict. People in Ancient Greece thought in a similar way. On the other hand, there have been societies in history in which positive communication between generations can be traced, the article considers the example of Sparta. In Medieval Europe, the influence of Christian morality on the relationship between generations can be traced, but despite this, the confl ict of "fathers and children" does not disappear. Refl ections in the context of intergenerational relations in the Renaissance did not signifi cantly change the essence of relations, but paved the way for their humanization. It is only in Modern times that the fi rst theories of intergenerational relations appear, one of the representatives of such theories is J. Vico.
The modern approach to the study of generational relations indicates the cyclical nature of intergenerational archetypes, but this approach presupposes determinism and predetermination in the development of relations between generations. In Russian discourse, the theoretical approach to intergenerational relations asserts the connection between people who have entered the formative age and the socio-political situation in a given period of time.
