The Refl action of National Specificity of the Nomination of Masculine and Feminine Gender in the Sub-standard Vocabulary of the Russian Language
The article is devoted to the comprehensive study of the relationship between language and culture. At first, we study the theoretical material on the problem under study. Then we highlight and describe the characteristic features of the national specificity of the nomination of masculine and feminine gender in the sub-standard vocabulary of the Russian language. As a result the analysis
of sub-standard lexical units representing the image of a man and a woman identifies the thematic groups that help to identify and describe the national specificity of the nomination of masculine and feminine gender in the sub-standard vocabulary of the Russian language. Moreover, with the help of thematic groups, we have identifi ed positive and negative assessments of the image of men and women in Russian culture. The conducted research allows us to conclude that patriarchal stereotypes exist in the linguistic picture of the world of native Russian speakers, where a man occupies a dominant place, and a woman is considered as something secondary.
