Philosophy and Logic: Logic as Canon and Organon in Philosophy
The article analyzes the relationship between philosophy and logic from a single point of view: based on the concepts of canon and organon. Logic as a canon is a set of different types of correct reasoning and logical rules obtained in logic at one stage or another of its development. The canon also includes meta-requirements, i.e. controls that distinguish correct reasoning from incorrect, and the correct
use of various rules from incorrect ones. Logic as an organon is the application of Logic (the practical use of the reserves of the canon) in Philosophy (mainly in epistemology, ontology and methodology). Based on the analysis of three works on Philosophy and Logic (in fact, there are a lot of them), the author shows that
the «canon – organon» scheme is a working one and demonstrates the formation of interdisciplinarity of Philosophy and Logic.
