(Southern Federal University)

Among the problems associated with teaching Russian as a foreign language, a special place is occupied by the problem of finding additional resources that optimize the process of acculturation of representatives of another culture.
The article argues that the acculturation of foreign speakers in the study of the Russian language is most effective when the knowledge included in the localized component of linguoculture is included in the educational process as an additional resource.
This kind of knowledge is especially important for foreigners studying in different regions of the Russian Federation. This paper examines the content of the localized component of Russian linguoculture on the example of a specific region – the Rostov region.
Orientation to the study of LCL dictates the need to develop principles for the selection of language units of the localized component and the creation of means and tools for their presentation, methodological techniques for their study by foreigners.
